April Mininsohn

EAST COAST FINANCE DIRECTOR

April joined Capital Strategies in 2019. Since then, she has managed national fundraising for multiple Gubernatorial, Senate, and Congressional candidates. Most notably, April led the west coast fundraising operation to elect Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock in 2020, the Georgia Senate runoff in 2020, Warnock’s successful re-election in 2022, and yet another runoff in 2022. April also managed Congressman Adam Schiff’s record breaking national fundraising for his 2024 Senate campaign.

Before her time at Capital Strategies, April served as a finance assistant on Ben Jealous’s campaign for Governor of Maryland. A lifelong Democrat who voted for John Kerry in her third grade election, April moved to DC from Sarasota, Florida, to attend George Washington University, and never left.

Tariq Almani

SENIOR FINANCE ASSOCIATE

Tariq graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Tariq began his career as a fundraiser for Save the Children and The Nature Conservancy in San Francisco. It was during this time that he began working with Capital Strategies in the Bay Area. He relocated to Los Angeles, where he joined Capital Strategies as a Fundraising Assistant. He is now the Senior Finance Associate and enjoys working with and supporting our full range of clients.

Tariq graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Tariq began his career as a fundraiser for Save the Children and The Nature Conservancy in San Francisco. Carson Marsh

PROJECT MANAGER AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

A fellow Florida native, Carson graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in Communications with a dual-minor in Sports Industry and Screenwriting. Reporting for the USC Trojan football team throughout his college career, Carson then took a job with the Las Vegas Raiders before joining Tixr shortly after graduating. At Tixr, Carson served as a lobbying analyst where he helped introduce Tixr to California state assembly members in efforts to expand fairness in live event ticketing in California. Joining Capital Strategies in 2024, Carson is now a project manager and executive assistant and the primary scheduler.
